Tanner’s Sister

Yesterday, on my walk to town, I saw the mom from my little family. They are mine. They’re like flowers in a garden. I love to watch them grow. She slowed to a stop when she met me on our street. “I can’t talk long I need to get home to a hungry baby. I have to tell you something- We walked with the kids to Main Street for supper last night. There was a small set of footprints with a light dusting of snow in them on the sidewalk. Ella wondered whose they were. She thought about it a minute and she said, ‘I think they’re Elroy’s.’” We laughed because kids are funny in their simple logic. Ella sees me walking often. She doesn’t know anyone else whose footprints they could be. It only makes sense.

Good neighbors, another reason to be grateful.

  1. I think kids are much more logical than adults. 😉
